In the beginning of the summer 2003, our `NomadCamp´ will be erected on a forest-covered peninsula in the finnish lakelands.
Yurts like these have been made completely by hand for more than 1000 years, and we offer our costumers these authentic, hand-made yurts to give them a unique experience. Horses have stamped the wool to felt, which is then knocked to its final form in ice-cold mountain brooks. After the felt is spanned over a woodgrating. At least all is covered with thick, waxed canvas to protect it from humidity. All yurts are equipped with a “vuolokivi´ chimney-oven to make them ready for the finnish winter, a community yurt and several other buildings complete the village.
The over 40 3-D animals and other targets of the forest-covered peninsula invite to shoot with a bow.
Explore the island-labyrinth of the finnish lakes by canoe, kayak or baidarka.
Relax in the `kelo´ sauna or at the fireplace while roasting salmon, moose- or reindeer meat.
We don’t want you to obey a strict schedule. We simply want you, your friends and your family to spend a good time in a beautiful environment and a unique camp.
We will also offer a variety of interesting activities such as courses in bow-building, canoeing, kayaking, archery and mounted archery.
